Serious UFO Panel Discussion To Be Held At The American University

It seems that panel discussions on UFOs have been gearing up in the past few years and they weren’t just ordinary talks since they involved high profile people with credible background. And another serious panel discussions is underway as one of the well-respected U.S. universities has announced that it will host UFO panel discussion titled “UFOs: Encounters by Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials.”

The American University said that the discussion will be hosted by former CNN anchor, and leading UFO enthusiast Miles O’Brien.

It has been years of sentiments among UFO researchers and enthusiasts that mainstream establishments are not taking UFO subject seriously. However, with events like the one that will be held at The American University, things seem to be changing.

The panel discussion, which includes four prominent national figures, is based on the Honors Colloquium, Alien Contact: Science and Science Fiction by filmmaker and professor John Weiskopf.

Weiskopf describes the event through a video in the event page for the panel saying that the panel provides the participants an opportunity to hear from eyewitness Colonel Charles Halt and from leading investigators. Halt, the Air Force Deputy Base Commander close to Rendlesham Forest, said that he recorded the event 20 feet away from a UFO.

Author and investigative journalist Leslie Kean will also join with Halt. The organizers of the event took the title from the best-selling book “UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go On the Record.”

Also in the list of panelists are Roswell incident expert and author Thomas Carey, and former NASA researcher Dr. Richard Haines. Haines, who co-founded the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP), served NASA from 1986-1988 as chief for Space Human Factors Office at the agency’s Ames Research Center.

All panelists are either UFO experiencers or UFO researchers. They are all skeptical but they are not skeptics at all. The discussion seems to be not a debate based on its preview but rather the presentation of compelling evidence for the UFO phenomena extensive investigation.
